When people hear the word "hormones", they often think of reproductive hormones like estrogen, progesterone, or testosterone. But there are other very important hormones in the body, like cortisol, thyroid hormone, and insulin, that when out of balance, can cause a lot of health issues.

The Root Cause of an issue can be missed by focusing only on one system or just on the symptoms. We have to focus on the body as a whole. This is our approach at Sangeo Wellness Center. We use a functional approach to health, which means we seek to find the root cause of issues, and not just prescribe medicine to treat the symptom. We don't just focus on "normal" lab values, rather we aim for optimal levels. We use multiple tools and comprehensive laboratory testing to get to the root cause of the issues, and then work hand in hand with our patients to develop individualized treatment plans that focus on the use of supplements and natural solutions, medication where necessary, and lifestyle medicine to optimize health.
Our ideal patient needs to be engaged in the therapeutic treatment plan and willing to make changes necessary to improve their health.
We are a cash-based business. This means we do not bill insurance. The reason for this is that many of our services are not covered by conventional insurance, and insurance does not reimburse adequately for the time we spend with our patients. We value spending time with each patient so we can dig deep to get to the root cause of their health issues.
Our clients are responsible for payment at time of service. If you have an HSA card, we can accept that. We can provide a superbill if needed that you submit for reimbursement. Some laboratory testing may be covered by insurance.
We currently only treat patients in Tennessee (statewide).
